The Evans Scholarship was founded in 1930 by Charles “Chick” Evans Jr., a former caddie who went on to win both the U.S. Open (1916) and the U.S. Amateur (1916 and 1920). A total of nearly 8,400 students have graduated from the program, many after living in one of the 14 scholarship houses nationwide.
