Coloradan Monica Lieving, the 2023 women’s World Long Drive champ, scores her first WLD victory of 2024

Lakewood resident Monica Lieving on Saturday night scored the fourth World Long Drive Tour victory of her career and her first since claiming the 2023 WLD Championship in October.

The realtor, the top female in the WLD rankings, earned the win in the 12-competitor women’s division at the WLD Endless Summer event in Belleville, Ontario, Canada.

Lieving’s longest drive in the finals went 335 yards, eight more than her closest opponent.

Now in her second year competing in World Long Drive, Lieving’s victories have come in Mesquite, Nev., in March 2023, in Hobe Sound, Fla., in April 2023, the WLD Championship in October and in Canada on Saturday.

Lieving grew up in Geneseo in western Illinois, and played college golf at Arkansas State.
