Later this year, Lakewood Country Club will host one of the Trans-Miss amateur golf championships as the TMGA’s Mid-Master and Mid-Amateur Championship pays a visit Sept. 13-16.
Last week, a Lakewood CC member finished high on the leaderboard at the first Trans-Miss individual championship of 2026.
Colorado Golf Hall of Famer Jon Lindstrom of Denver, fresh off his victory in the CGA Senior Four-Ball with fellow LCC member Richard Bradsby, placed solo third out of a 62-man field on Thursday in the Trans-Miss Senior Amateur, one of the nation’s top senior amateur championships.
Lindstrom, the 2023 Trans-Miss Senior champ, carded rounds of 71-71-70 for a 4-under-par total at Mission Hills Country Cub in Rancho Mirage, Calif. The 2023 CGA Senior Player of the Year and 2020 Colorado Senior Open runner-up finished six strokes behind champion Jason Pridmore of Ventura, Calif. Lindstrom made 11 birdies and seven birdies over the three days of the tournament.
